As a key part of their engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering electrical and automation projects, supporting various operational facilities from rural storage sites to manufacturing plants.This role would require relocation to Leeton or the Riverina Region.The OpportunityAs an Electrical Engineer at SunRice, you'll play a crucial role in delivering strategic electrical and automation solutions across our diverse global operations. Acting as the company's representative, you'll take ownership of electrical systems and ensure compliance with statutory regulations while working closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams. This is a unique opportunity to support SunRice's commitment to safety and innovation through electrical upgrades, automation, and control solutions that will shape the future of our business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of electrical and automation projects, prioritizing safety and efficiency improvements across multiple SunRice facilities.Act as the company's representative for electrical statutory and government regulations, ensuring all systems align with compliance and safety standards.Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to select and manage electrical/automation solutions that align with project goals and best practices.Conduct feasibility studies, prepare project estimates, and manage the tender process to secure optimal outcomes for the SunRice Group.Support internal maintenance teams in developing capabilities to manage electrical and control systems autonomously.Work with the Group HSE team to incorporate safety upgrades and best practices across all projects.About YouTo succeed in this role, you'll need:A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent qualification.At least 5 years' experience in electrical engineering and control systems, ideally within a manufacturing or similar setting.Strong experience with PLC systems, including Citect, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE.In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards for electrical installations and statutory requirements.Proven experience with equipment tendering, commissioning, and electrical integration in brownfield environments.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering a customer-focused, safety-first culture.How to ApplyIf you are passionate about leading electrical projects within a large-scale, multi-national organization, click 'Apply' to submit your resume.
