The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and advice in support of Kunwarara and Parkhurst operations. They provide an important link between the engineering and operations teams on electrical and energy related topics. Duties include managing a mix of capital and reliability projects from concept to implementation to enable continuous and sustainable operation of the plants.

Provide technical advice and engineering support to the operations and maintenance teamsManage and assist in Opex and Capex projects, including but not limited to project work scopes, budgets and capital requests, and site installation managementAssist in developing scope of works for contractors and engineering review of technical issuesIdentify and implement opportunities to improve electrical system and equipment reliability including equipment lifecycle managementPerform failure investigations and plant performance analysis for optimisation opportunitiesThe Requirements We are looking for someone who has the following:
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical EngineeringMinimum five (5) years' experience in heavy industrial processing environmentsExperience in project delivery from concept to executionExperience and knowledge of maintaining HV and LV distribution and switchgearHighly Desirable: Qualifications in project managementKnowledge of maintenance and asset management strategies and activitiesExperience in working in continuous production plantsExperience working with SCADA and DCS/PLCsExperience in identification and implementation of energy efficiency projectsQMAG Benefits and Culture You can look forward to working within an inclusive corporate culture that puts people first and always ensures our employees' health and safety.
