The successful candidate will provide high-quality, commercially focused engineering services and play a vital role in delivering innovative engineering solutions.You will be required to:Organise and plan the technical aspects of engineering projects including the design and preparation of user requirement specifications, material/ component specifications and safety in design requirements for new and altered works.Design, check and audit engineering systems submitted by design team and or external providers, ensuring compliance.Prepare documentation including user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, asset handover, type approval and maintenance procedures.Ensure engineering designs adhere to business and industry best practices.Identify needs for new processes and standards, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative standards, specifications, and work practices.About youWe are seeking expressions of interest from Graduate to Senior level. Essential qualifications include:3-5 years' experience in an Electrical Engineering role (Desirable).Specific skills.Demonstrable experience in the preparation and review of written technical reportsAbility to demonstrate sound engineering judgement and advice.Possess a strong foundational knowledge of infrastructure operations, design, construction, maintenance and safety standards and specifications relating to Electrical Engineering.High level of interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, consultation, and negotiation skills.Willing to travel to various locations across the Central Queensland Coal Network as required.A desire to be challenged and a willingness to learn.High level of skill in interpreting and ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, and practices regarding safety, environment, and engineering.High level of skill in reviewing and recommending tactical engineering solutions.What we offer you.At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
