The role will require but not limited to:
Undertaking or supervising the preparation of feasibility studies, surveys and reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates. Generating equipment specifications and support the equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution.
Prepare and oversee detailed design deliverables
Undertake and/or review system studies, protection coordination, arc flash hazard assessments
Provide input and/or support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
Ensure technical integrity of the discipline's deliverables
Manage various electrical vendors, packages, contractors and control systems
Preparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated services
Defining and recommending design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projects
Managing electrical discipline budget and schedule during the execution of projects in all phases of maturity.
Carrying-out site inspections and liaising with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers. Engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams with the occasional deployment as a commissioning resource.
Liaising with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of projects
Key Skills & Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
At least 3+ years' experience, preferably in the project design, commissioning, and onsite environments
Ability to understand and interpret data
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports and communicate technical information to all levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in use of AutoCAD software in preparation of electrical design drawings
Ability work autonomously
Drive to seek out support and review from others
Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
Appropriate level of confidence with a sense of contribution, drive, and initiative
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and conduct field work
