AustCorp Executive is working in partnership with a leading technology integration company specialising in the design, supply, installation & support of communication solutions.
Our client is looking for a skilled electrical engineer who is experienced in power supplies, solar PV and DC battery backup systems. In this role, you'd be responsible for designing, developing and testing electrical systems and components, particularly for large-scale projects in sectors like mining and oil & gas.
The Role Prepare detailed project estimates and contribute to effective tender preparationDesign, develop, test, and oversee the installation of electrical equipment, systems, and componentsAnalyse complex electrical and electronic systems, identifying ways to enhance performance and reliabilitySupervise the installation and maintenance of electrical systemsInterpret drawings, standards, and regulationsGenerate reports and instruction manuals for installing electrical systems and equipmentOversee electrical system tests and rectify faultsCollaborate with other Engineers, Technicians, and stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completionOversee construction and installation of electrical systems, ensuring high standards of safety and qualityDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering specificationsTroubleshoot and resolve technical problems during development and implementation of electrical systemsThe Requirements Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related fieldTrade Certified Electrician with a current State Electrical LicenceMinimum of 3 years of related experience in preferably mining and oil and gas sectorsExperience in power supplies, Solar PV (industrial), Direct Current (DC), Battery Backup systems, including generatorsExperience in developing project costings and bills of materialsProficient in electrical testing, system commissioning and compliance testing as per AS/NZ 3017Understanding of renewable energy systems, including wind and energy storage systemsAbility to interpret and generate technical drawings, schematics and detailed electrical design documentationProficient in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues promptlyFamiliarity with design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStationWhat's in It for you?
