Job DescriptionWe are excited to announce that we have a permanent Electrical Engineer position at Moranbah North Mine, based in Moranbah QLD. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will provide safe, efficient, and reliable engineering services to the Maintenance & Engineering department.
The key responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer are:
Provide safe, efficient and reliable electrical engineering services to the Maintenance & Engineering Department and assist in achieving agreed maintenance plans and targets including specific engineering projects, procurement of equipment, disposal of equipment and improvement plans.Contribute to the development and ongoing management of a reliable 5-year maintenance and engineering plan.Identify areas for improvement and create action plans to ensure excellence in maintenance and engineering practices is achieved.Provide technical support to ensure the reliability and availability of all plant and facilities on shift by coordinating resources, utilising the work order system, preparing maintenance plans and organising the supply and availability of spare parts.Contribute technical advice and theories to aid the development and implementation Support the Maintenance & Engineering Department to implement AAMC reliability systems and comply with guidelines to ensure quality and minimum legislative standards are met.Manage electrical engineering projects and ensure project is adequately planned by developing technical specifications, job instructions / procedures, material and services requirements, labour and skill requirements, tools and equipment requirements, industrial notifications, environmental clearances, permits and safety management plans.Proactively identify and flag maintenance specific challenges and opportunities that new technology could address.Apply the Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site.QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will hold:
Demonstrated experience in an electrical engineering or maintenance role within the mining industry (preferably coal).Diploma or relevant degree in Engineering or Maintenance Management.Current S1, S2, S3 & G2 qualification is desirable.RPEQ certified is desirable.Experience in driving best practice through your department and into the business.An ability to manage and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated experience contributing to and leading a team of professionals to deliver against set targets.Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and apply where relevant to ensure compliance.Additional InformationFull-time permanent position based at Moranbah North MineMonday to Friday role with 9-day fortnight availableCompetitive salary package and annual incentive programsResidential, FIFO (company funded) & DIDO optionsSubsidised accommodation and company funded camp options providedGym membership perksRelocation Assistance availableAnglo American company benefitsHow to apply
