Building on past successes, the company is now hiring an Electrical Engineer to report directly to the Head of Sustaining Engineering as part of the Sustaining Engineering team in Murarrie, Brisbane.You will ensure the reliability of our products in the field and optimise production efficiency across global manufacturing facilities. Your role will focus on sustaining and enhancing the performance of our products through engineering support and continuous improvement initiatives.Core Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive lifecycle solutions, including the design, development, and verification of electrical/electronic power systems such as product communication, power control units, and switchgear, compliance testing, and field servicing.Manage requirements gathering, electrical components and assemblies, and create wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and specifications.Oversee the entire process from concept to production build, field installation, and servicing.Own assigned electrical/electronic systems and commodities, ensuring all design solutions follow Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Serviceability (DFS) principles.Optimise systems through cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Validation, and Certification.To Be Successful in This Role:You will need a strong foundation in electrical engineering, with proven experience managing complex projects from concept to completion. Proficiency in DFM/DFA/DFS principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines are essential.
