Electrical Engineer

Location: Regional Victoria, VIC, AU, 3355The RoleAs our Electrical Engineer at the Ballarat Can End Manufacturing site, you'll provide direction to a team of two electricians and work closely with three additional team members across various shifts. This role involves proactive maintenance planning, the repair and reassembly of equipment and electrical components, and leading capital projects when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop team members through mentoring, coaching, and feedback.Conduct and oversee preventative maintenance according to site standards.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing accurate repair time estimates.Respond promptly to breakdowns, taking corrective action as needed.Manage inventory, purchase necessary supplies, and maintain detailed records.Install machinery, tools, and equipment to specification standards.Build business cases and initiate capital requests.Provide technical expertise and insights into repairs and maintenance for electrical and engineering issues.About YouDegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or an Electrical Trade Certificate with Advanced qualifications and extensive engineering or supervisory experience.Proven leadership or management experience (3-5 years), with the ability to inspire and lead a team.Experience in process or high-speed manufacturing environments.Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues, with subject matter expertise in electrical and automation.Why Orora?Professional and friendly work environment driven by our clear values and behaviours.Access to our reward and recognition program which recognises outstanding achievements of all employees.Ongoing learning & development opportunities.
