Electrical Engineer Coop – Winter 2025 – ViVitro Labs, Victoria, BCViVitro Labs is seeking an analytical, motivated and solutions focused Coop Student with demonstrated product development experience to join our growing team in Victoria, BC. We are an internationally recognized and growing company that provides specialized test equipment solutions to support medical device innovations in the cardiovascular space.
In our small, innovative team you will enjoy the challenge of working on a variety of R&D projects where you will conceptualize, prototype, design, and document products with a user centric approach in mind.
Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer and working closely with the Director of Product Development and the R&D team, you will apply your knowledge of engineering design principles and bring practical solutions to ensure our products are of high quality and reliability to maintain ViVitro's brand.

We are actively looking for the right student to join our team of engineers in Victoria, BC, Canada for the Winter term (Jan 2025 – April 2025).
Hourly rate for 3rd year student is $24.27 and hourly rate for 4th year student is $25.38
Key Responsibilities: Work as an integral member of the engineering team to design and build innovative productsBuild proof of concept prototypesTest concept prototypesDesign parts/subsystems/systems according to design control proceduresDocument design according to design/document control proceduresVerify design and validate product prototypesTransfer design to manufacturingProvide other technical assistance as neededReport on project progress as requestedAttend training sessions as needed to expand your technical knowledge and skillsEducation and Experience Required/Desired: Working towards a Bachelor degree in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering or Engineering Physics is requiredPrevious COOP experience is desiredAvailability for an 8 month work term is desiredSenior students are desiredWillingness to be challenged intellectuallyCapability to learn new thingsTroubleshooting abilitiesProficient with schematic and PCB designFamiliarity with sensor signal amplification/filteringKnowledge in analogue and digital circuitrySkills in AltiumExperience with LabviewExperience with firmware development and programming with CKnowledge of engineering design processesFamiliarity with working in a regulated product development environmentAbout ViVitro Labs: ViVitro Labs provides contract testing services and test equipment solutions to support medical device innovations in the cardiovascular space.
