Position Electronic Instrument Trades Worker Position Type Full-Time
Salary $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client SVOMTO is seeking a skilled Electronic Instrument Trades Worker to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic instruments and control systems. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies in a hands-on environment, ensuring the smooth functioning of instruments used across various industrial applications.
Tasks Required Include: Install, configure, and test a wide range of electronic instruments, control systems, and monitoring devices used across our facilities. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in complex electronic systems and equipment. Perform regular maintenance on electronic instruments and control panels to prevent equipment failures. Program and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to optimize performance. Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electronic instruments and control systems. Assist in system upgrades, modifications, and testing of new technologies to improve operational efficiency. Maintain detailed records of system maintenance, repairs, and performance, ensuring documentation meets compliance and safety standards. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for parts, troubleshooting advice, and system improvements. Monitor system performance and assist in developing strategies for minimizing downtime. Provide technical support and training to other team members on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Requirements: Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical/Electronic or equivalent. At least two (2) years' experience in relevant field. Proven experience working with electronic instruments and control systems. Strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, control software, and related technology. Prior work in manufacturing, telecommunications, or process industries is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret electrical and schematic diagrams. Experience with calibration techniques and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
