Your new role
An exciting opportunity as a Electrical and Controls Engineering Manager is available. This role will be responsible for leading, developing, and supporting multi-disciplined teams within Electrical & Control systems across Australia. You will provide expertise and guidance to the team for the design, control, and functional safety of Mobile and Industrial electrical and control systems.
In this role, you will continually review and support local product portfolios, ensure company operating & cost efficiencies are obtained, and quality & safety standards are achieved while making sure customer delivery deadlines are met.
The role would cover:
Review project handover documentation and customer specifications Schedule, prioritise and ensure on-time delivery of day-to-day work for the engineering design and controls teams Develop and improve process, drawing and construction standards, suitable for all industries and applications e.g., Mining, Industrial and Mobile Support the production team to ensure on-time delivery Support the sales and service teams with the preparation of quotations for electrical and control systems Travel to site (domestically and internationally) to support the sales and service teams with the development, quotation, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems Monitor global product portfolio, identifying products suitable for Australian market range that would support us offering full, turnkey solutions Provide customer support for electrical/electronic component and system enquiries
What we need from you
Electrical and/or Mechatronic Engineering Degree Highly developed interpersonal and negotiating skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders Extensive (minimum 10 years) demonstrated management and engineering skills & experience with the ability to drive engineering tasks from inception through to completion SAP Production (PP) module experience Autodesk – AutoCAD and Vault experience
