About the role With projects and clients growing, we are looking for a customer and delivery focused Electrical and Automation Discipline Manager who is proactive in the delivery for clients and leading a team to ensure projects are successful and our team culture continues to be fun and open. The E&A Manager will be part of the East Business Unit leadership team and we are after a people-focused professional that can provide technical direction, leadership and guidance to our high performing team of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Engineers. You will be exposed to variety of clients working on oil, gas, utilities, manufacturing, petrochemical, renewables and other local industry projects.
In this role, you will:
Oversee the electrical, instrumentation and Automation projects through various engineering phases from concept/select, FEED through to detailed design and delivery.Provide technical guidance and leadership to develop junior engineers.Provide a quality assurance voice for your fellow team members.Develop existing and new relationships to promote the Electrical and Automation offering to uncover new opportunities and maintain the relationship with our existing clients.Prepare proposals (hours estimation and scope definition) for new and ongoing works.Assist in the development and application of engineering and design standards, systems and processes.Provide overall progress reports and other reports related to schedule and cost as required by the Project Manager and our clients.About you You will be a highly experienced Lead Engineer or Electrical Engineering Manager ready to step up into a Team Manager role. Ideally, you will have experience in oil & gas, although experience in manufacturing, dairy, infrastructure or heavy industry is also valued. The role offers an opportunity to be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, working with a diverse range of clients on brownfield projects and new builds.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
