The position:
Based in Kalgoorlie, you will be required to assist tradesman with mining maintenance for local mine sites. The ideal candidates will gain hands on experience in the manufacture, installation and preventative maintenance of all underground electrical infrastructure including switchboards, HV supply cables, Jumbo maintenance, Jumbo trailing cables, ventilation systems, flygt pumps and underground lighting systems.
For school aged applicants an excellent attendance record and good grades are essential. A certificate II in Electrotechnology will be highly regarded. Mature aged candidates are encouraged to apply.
To be suitable for this position you require the following: current police clearance - essential - within 3 months strong work ethic and desire to learn ability to work in a fast- paced environment a strong attention to detail a strong interest and passion for the electrical industry a good understanding and commitment to safety You will be required to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen.
