This role is pivotal in supporting Project Managers to effectively deliver projects through the provision of accurate and timely cost and schedule information - allowing for decision making based on current and projected project performance.
We invite applications from individuals with a specific background in Tier 1 Construction scheduling.
Success in this role is characterised by the ability to effectively plan, track and analyse project costs and schedules, providing strategic advice that enables successful project delivery and helps develop the capabilities of the broader team.
About You Here's what we're looking for in our new team member:
Extensive experience in scheduling and/or planning within key industries like energy, utilities, construction, and infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with developing new processes and procedures regarding project controls, planning, and risk assessments.
Experience within a Contracting environment.
Able to anticipate, identify and plan for contingencies and variations in projects and inform the Project Manager of the implications.
Relevant experience in budget tracking, variance analysis, change management, accruals, purchase order management, and forecasting.
Well-developed analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills developed through experience in a project environment.
Timely and accurate delivery of project reporting.
Capable of mentoring and assisting with the development of other Project Controllers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to engage and work with a multitude of stakeholders.
Open to spending significant time being based on project sites.
Flexible approach to working hours and after-hours commitments which is critical for this role.
Advanced user of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent coupled with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Minimum of 7 to 8 years of relevant experience within the projects space focusing on controls, scheduling, and planning.
