Salary: $96,584.00 to $101,313.00 per annum
Employment Type:Permanent, full-time
Region:Contribute to the efficient, effective, and ethical operation of the Tasmanian Electoral Commission (TEC) through the development and review of electoral processes and procedures, electoral project management, and the direct management, mentoring, and support of election offices and their staff during major electoral events.

Hours per Fortnight:73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties:Develop and review electoral processes and procedures.Contribute to the continual improvement of event-based training.Undertake special electoral projects.Manage local government and parliamentary recounts and conduct by-elections and elector polls.Monitor, mentor, and support returning officers appointed for Tasmanian parliamentary and local government elections.Where required, be appointed as returning officer for a Tasmanian parliamentary election.Provide assistance with other electoral tasks as required.Maintain political neutrality.Pre-employment Checks:The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion, or transfer.
