About the Role: Our client, a federal government agency, is seeking a talented Project Manager (EL 2) to support the Health Workforce Data Intelligence team.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple projects, including those related to procurement, contract management, and data governance initiatives.
As these projects are in the early stages, you will play a key role in shaping the scope, processes, and requirements.
This position requires adaptability, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage a team through evolving project needs.Key Responsibilities:The Project Manager will be responsible for:Managing a large project with multiple streams and resources within the Health Workforce Division, managing all aspects of the project including the day-to-day activities, and having responsibility for ensuring work packages are defined, understood, and the outcomes achieved.
Project includes streams covering data modelling, data governance, systems design, website re-design, and stakeholder communications and engagement.Managing project scope, deliverables, quality, risk, and issue management processes to ensure issues are addressed, blockers removed, and project outcomes are delivered to quality and on time.Documenting and managing the start-up, initiation, delivery, and closure of projects in accordance with the corporate project management standards utilized throughout the department.Working collaboratively with stream leads to manage each stream of work within the project(s) and liaising as required with other areas of the department such as finance and data custodians.Preparing project status reports, providing advice, managing the project board(s), and presenting at meetings/forums.Applying a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and frameworks for effective project management, with regards to setting up and using project and program management methodologies with a focus on project/program assurance adhering to the P3O, P3M, PRINCE2Agile, and MSP.Engaging with an extensive array of stakeholders related to the project/s.What we're looking for:To be considered for this position, you will need to be an Australian citizen and possess the following skills and experience:Project management experience gained working within a federal government agency.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize data from various sources.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities effectively.High level of experience in stakeholder engagement and negotiation.What you need to do now:If you're passionate about making a difference in Australia's health workforce and meet the above criteria, we'd love to hear from you!#J-18808-Ljbffr
