$134,567 - $161,521 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% SuperannuationCampbell Park - ACTThe RoleWe are seeking dynamic and experienced project manager to lead the Defence Project 8191 Defence Fuel Resilience Program (DFRP) Project Management Office (PMO) within Fuel Capability Branch. The role is key to the delivery of DEF 8191 initiatives and provides a Network Operations interface with major projects. Additionally, this role has oversight of Commercial Management operations and delivery of two project scopes.This role affords the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders across Defence and the wider fuel industry to deliver a capability that is essential for Australian Defence Force operations. You will be expected to work with considerable independence and be accountable to perform and achieve very complex program management work within an integrated workforce. You will be asked to provide 'one team' leadership integrating APS, ADF and contractor stakeholders and team members.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer.About our TeamThe DEF8191 PMO has a wide scope of responsibility that connects with multiple aspects of the Fuel Capability Branch and broader industry. The PMO plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of key strategic initiatives under the Defence Fuel Resilience Program. This program has a multi-year time frame for implementation and is of a significant financial value.The multi-disciplinary team has responsibility for supporting the planning, development and delivery of high priority projects to improve the resilience of the Defence Fuel Supply Chain. The team works closely with stakeholders across Defence, including the ADF, as well as fuel industry experts.Our Ideal CandidateYou must be well organised, a good leader, and be able to manage multiple competing priorities. You must have superior stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills. Importantly you will have extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience on all aspects of program management.Key skills and abilities to be successful in this role include:Strong leadership skills;Strong stakeholder engagement skills;The ability to build an effective stakeholder network quickly and effectively;The ability to advise senior leaders on sensitive matters with honesty, clarity, brevity and courage;Strategic, critical thinking to support complex problem solving and senior decision making;High level communication skills, both written and oral; andA keen eye for detail.Fuel Capability Branch is a blended workforce of APS, ADF and contracted staff, and an ability to work in this environment and understand the sensitivities and probity issues that this encompasses.Information Pack Opens in new window
