The Role
As the EL 2 Human Systems Integration Lead in the Directorate of Specialist Engineering, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a small team of highly specialised personnel focused on assessment and enhancement of ADF Land materiel, providing direct input to the safety of personnel on operations and in training.
You will be required to apply your significant expertise to the assessment of complex problems in the field of Human Systems Integration, to ensure the user and their capabilities are fully considered across all phases of the capability life cycle.
You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring and developing the personnel within your team, and, as the HSI Lead, you will be expected to drive capability growth and upskilling of Land Engineering Agency personnel in the field of Human Systems Integration.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced scientist/engineering professional, with deep technical knowledge of the Human Systems aspects of military platforms, with drive to grow capability, and the experience to lead and mentor a team of highly skilled personnel.
You must be able to adapt and pivot to respond to requirements and provide considered specialist advice, clearly and concisely to a wide range of stakeholders and senior levels of leadership across the Defence Enterprise.
Key requirements of the role include (but not limited to):
