The key duties of the position includeONGOING VACANCYEL 2 General Counsel Legal and Parliamentary Services, Corporate Services, Canberra (C00191)AFMA is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced lawyers to fill the exciting role of General Counsel within the Corporate Services Branch, based in Canberra.Leading a small team of lawyers and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for providing legal and parliamentary services to the agency. The legal function at AFMA provides a variety of services and this role will work extensively with all levels of the agency as well as across the APS.Candidates must have demonstrated extensive legal experience providing legal advice and other services in the areas of administrative law, litigation, statutory interpretation, legislative drafting, and procurement.In return, AFMA will provide a flexible working environment where you will be valued for your expertise, experience, point of view, and diversity.Please refer to the position description for more information.
