About the opportunityAUSTRAC is seeking a dynamic Director, Procurement and Travel to lead teams within our Finance, Property and Procurement Branch. You'll play a critical role in shaping and innovating procurement and travel services that support AUSTRAC and its people. As Director, Procurement and Travel, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure procurement and travel functions operate efficiently, align with legislative frameworks, and deliver value for money. You'll lead motivated teams in driving process and systems improvements while fostering a positive and collaborative culture. Our primary role is to protect AUSTRAC by encouraging compliance with thePublic Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 , Whole of Australian Government Travel Arrangement and related rules .We work closely with various teams to identify and assess risks, while exploring and evaluating alternative solutions in their procurement activities.We focus on delivering procurement outcomes in an efficient and effective manner, without jeopardising compliance. The Director, Procurement and Travel will undertake a range of duties including but not limited to:
Leading teams in the AUSTRAC procurement and travel service functions.Leading risk management strategies in procurement projects to identify and mitigate risks.Developing and maintainingof policy, guidance and procedures.Advising on procurement and contract matters.Developing effective relationships with procurement and travel policy agencies including theDigital Transformation Agency and the Department of Finance.Proactively identifying, proposing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Must be an Australian citizen at the time you apply.Will need to undertake AUSTRAC's pre-engagement checks.Will need to obtain and maintain an ongoing, minimum Baseline security clearance.NotesWhy AUSTRAC?
