The National Anti-Corruption Commission enhances integrity in the Commonwealth public sector by deterring, detecting and preventing corrupt conduct involving Commonwealth public officials. It does this through education, monitoring, investigation, reporting and referral.

About this opportunity
The NACC has a Director, Intelligence role available for immediate filling in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager Operational Capabilities, the Director Intelligence is responsible for leading the Commission's strategic intelligence team and guiding the broad direction of intelligence practice across the Commission. This team conducts research and analysis to provide advice to the Commission and partner law enforcement agencies on trends and areas of risk in relation to corruption within the Commonwealth public sector.
Key activities
The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the General Manager Operational Capabilities branch. Key activities of this position include:
Leading and managing the strategic intelligence teamDeveloping strategic intelligence products that inform investigation and corruption prevention strategies and lines of enquiryLeading the development of the Commission's Strategic Corruption Priorities and Information Collection RequirementsEnsuring the workload and direction of the team is aligned to the strategic priorities of the Commission, including maintaining a close relationship with the data analysis function of the Enabling Services branchManaging internal and external intelligence holdings and identifying information sources to enhance the Commission's strategic intelligence function.Developing plans and systems that support, enable and monitor achievement of the teamContributing to the professional development, guidance and mentoring of intelligence staff across the Commission, ensuring the intelligence professionals are effective and supported to achieve their outcomesDeveloping and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including representing the Commission at external forums as requiredActively participate in the Executive leadership of the CommissionEligibility
Employment with the NACC is subject to the following conditions:
Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen.Security clearance – this is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.Suitability assessment - the NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks.Probation - a probation period will apply to a new ongoing engagement in the Australian Public Service.Classification: Executive Level 2
Salary: $140,402 - $158,205 + $1900 service allowance
