About the role
We are seeking highly skilled Systems Control Engineers to join our team. In these roles, you will design, build and enhance single pane of glass monitoring and management tools that optimise the performance of the ICT environment and enable correlation of activities, including networks, servers, applications and services. These roles focus on ensuring operational visibility, availability and performance of key infrastructure and services through real-time monitoring, alerting and reporting solutions, with a move towards adoption of predictive operational and cyber practices.
We have three core priorities: building best-in-class people to support the department's efforts, underpinned by best-in-class global platforms, supported by best-in-class sovereign capabilities.
These roles will be part of larger project teams to develop solutions and deliver capability. These are new roles in a growing branch, and you will be instrumental in helping to build both human and technical capabilities to achieve the department's mission.
Skills and experience
Extensive experience in designing, deploying and configuring monitoring and control platforms (e.g. Splunk) to track infrastructure performance, service uptime and system health.
Experience in the implementation and configuration of automated control systems to monitor and manage processes, networks and server environments.
Experience with integrating monitoring systems with cloud environments.
Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
We want you to be someone who is going to keep learning, career focused, and brings resilience to situations where requirements are shifting and changing with needs.
