Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaitsWe have an exciting opportunity for an EL1 Strategic Change Coordinator to join the NDIA to support and deliver the Agency's change outcomes that benefit participants and related stakeholders.
The Strategic Change Branch designs change management activities to ensure effective implementation of prioritised initiatives, based upon assessing the impacts of change on staff, participants, partners, providers and other stakeholders.
Where you can add valueThe EL1 Strategic Change Coordinator will play a senior role assisting in the establishment of future state vision and stakeholder experience aligned with that vision. They will provide support towards the establishment of strategies on how to prioritise, sequence and deliver changes to deliver the vision, factoring in complexity in the operating environment, conflicting demands, and other changes.
The roles require a considerable level of independence, decision making and judgment to produce high level policy advice and operational support.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Coordinating the engagement of program and organisational leaders to future state vision, case for change and change leadership role/capabilitiesProviding guidance, coaching to team members and meeting the needs of service users with quality deliverablesSupporting the management of stakeholder segments that reflect functional, behavioural and attitudinal characteristics of the target audienceProviding advice on effective channels and levers to effect functional, behavioural and attitudinal change appropriate to the audience segment.Enough about us, let's talk about youOur ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, thrive on sharing expertise and building professional relationships. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
