Senior Intelligence Analysts are relied upon to provide subject matter expertise based on their understanding of the contemporary organised crime environment in Australia and overseas.

Key responsibilities: Lead the development of a range of high-quality intelligence products that inform decision-making by internal and external stakeholders.Lead advanced data interrogation, research capabilities and threat assessment methodologies, and assess threats, including the use of information technology to undertake analysis.Contribute to collection, analysis and production to inform against national intelligence priorities and projects.Capture insights from intelligence operations and investigations, and participate in ACIC intelligence collection activities and processes.Maintain high level awareness of the serious and organised crime environment to identify priorities, including new and emerging threats and nationally-significant criminal activity.Apply in-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks for intelligence within a law enforcement environment.Support inter-disciplinary and inter-agency liaison to maintain productive networks and to promote information sharing, partnerships and common understanding.Role model a collegiate approach within the team that promotes a culture of flexibility and constant improvement, including the coaching and mentoring of junior staff. As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance management and project management capabilities. You will use your strong liaison and negotiation skills to manage relationships at all levels and possess relevant law enforcement or National Intelligence Community operational intelligence experience involving knowledge of collection, analysis and assessment processes often requiring exploitation of complex datasets and special collections.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
Significant experience in tactical, operational or strategic intelligence environments in either a National Intelligence Community or law enforcement agency, including extensive knowledge of intelligence processes, methodologies and tradecraft.Demonstrates the ability to lead and conduct complex intelligence projects, and identify and contribute to the design of operational strategy.An ability to lead collection, analysis and production of mission critical intelligence to inform against national intelligence priorities and intelligence requirements.An ability to lead advanced data interrogation, research capabilities and threat assessment methodologies, and assess threats, including the use of information technology to undertake analysis.Has highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and productive internal and external working relationships.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including state and federal police and five eyes law enforcement group partners, to ensure optimal outcomes for ACIC intelligence operations.Role models a collegiate approach within the team that promotes a culture of flexibility and constant improvement.Demonstrated experience leading teams of analysts, and overseeing, developing and mentoring less experienced staff.May have experience in the cultivation, recruitment and management of human sources and the effective deployment of human sources against operational objectives. Essential qualifications Analysts at this level will have demonstrated experience in an intelligence role in either the National Intelligence Community or law enforcement.Successfully complete the Intelligence Analyst Pathway Program on commencement with the ACIC.Desirable qualifications Relevant thematic knowledge of serious organised crime. Eligibility Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.Security Clearance: The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity.
