About the Role
The occupant of this position requires a strong knowledge of both the Australian and international firearm industry and firearm identification for the purpose of developing and maintaining the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission's (ACIC) hosted firearm management systems, specifically the National Firearm Register (NFR) and the National Firearm Identification Database (NFID). The role requires professional engagement with industry participants, both nationally and internationally, firearm collector groups, firearm dealers, and licensed firearm owners. This engagement requires a demonstrated high level of management, communication, and firearm research skills.
