El1 Senior Financial Accountant

The Department: 
Federal Government Department, using TechOne as their FMIS.
The Role: 
We are looking for an experienced EL1 Finacial Accountant seeking s26 or non ongoing engagements. In this role you will be working in the financial accounting team providing technical accounting support in the preparation of their EOM and EOFY Departmental and administered financial statements.
The responsibilities within the team also include the management of assets, including a number of leases and a diverse asset portfolio. You'll be supporting an experienced EL2 who values culture and outcomes and have one APS6 reporting to you. 
The role will be offered as permanent S26 transfers for an immediate start, or as 12 months non-ongoing contracts for anyone currently not with the APS.
We are looking for an asset specialist, who is able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in exercising sound technical accounting expertise, has good interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to coach and develop team members. 
Your Skills and Experience: 
You are an experienced accountant with financial reporting experience from a government environment. Thesa are technical accounting roles, you must be able to demonstrate your technical accounting capability and an understanding of the PGPA Act.
You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to start ASAP. This permanent role is only available via an S26 transfer at level EL1, however, they will also consider EL1 candidates for 12 months non-ongoing contracts.
