State/Province Australian Capital Territory Country Australia Job Description Initial contract up to 30June 2025 with further extension of 12 months Location: ACT,NSW,QLD,SA,VIC Security: Must have Negative Vetting Level1 About the Role: SoftLabs is seeking EL1 Senior ApplicationPackaging Engineer for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in Canberra,Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney.
Responsibilities: Automate the installation and configurationof Windows applications (package), configure security patch delivery, Windowsfeature updates, drivers, language packs, and vulnerability fixes for bothwindows servers and desktop in a format compatible with Intune and SCCM. Design, develop, coordinate, and manageapplication packaging projects. Package applications and software updatesusing a scripting language. Conduct Root Cause Analysis and remediationefforts on major Windows application packaging and deployments. Diagnose Windows application deploymentissues and coordinate package improvements/fixes. Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Automatethe installation and configuration of Windows applications (package), configuresecurity patch delivery, Windows feature updates, drivers, language packs, andvulnerability fixes for both windows servers and desktop in a format compatiblewith Intune and SCCM. Minimum of 3+ years' experience in thedesign, develop, coordinate, and manage application packaging projects. Minimum of 3+ years' experience in thepackage applications and software updates using a scripting language. Enterprise knowledge of Windows DesktopOperating Systems, Image Management, Application Packaging & Distribution,performance monitoring tools in a large, distributed environment. Demonstrated experience in Active Directory/ Intune/ DHCP / DNS / Group Policy in a distributed environment. Expert knowledge of industry deploymenttools such as SCCM or any other enterprise application deployment andautomation systems. Experience with enterprise-scale zero-touchWindows application deployments. Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis andremediation efforts on major Windows application packaging and deployments. Diagnose Windows application deploymentissues and coordinate package improvements/fixes. Job Type: Contract
