EL1 Scheme Corporate Systems Procurement Specialist
$80ph + Super for 12 months
Locations : Deakin, ACT + Richmond, VIC + Geelong, VIC.

Your new role
NDIA, Office of the CIO (OCIO) is undertaking major work programs to deliver innovative fit-for-need ICT based solutions to improve the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The Corporate Systems directorate is part of Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) and is responsible for planning and managing the OCIO vendor portfolio, defining OCIO vendors' requirements, finding the best available vendors, and cultivating and maintaining vendors and stakeholders' relationships. The Corporate Systems directorate provides advice to OCIO on ICT Investment to help drive NDIA Digital Transformation.
Duties
Plan and manage procurement activities
Prepare documentation, approval briefs and business cases for procurement
Review requirements and business cases and determine appropriate procurement methods
Drive procurement activities working with NDIA team and supplier(s)
Advise on the business case for alternative sourcing models.
Ensure procurement is driven in compliance with the prescribed policy and procedures.
Prepare procurement briefs and updates for SDP & OCIO leadership as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria
4 to 6 years' experience in similar role.
Demonstrate experience in navigating the Commonwealth investment Framework:
Part 1 Investment Proposal & Business Case development;
Part 2 Investments Governance, Funding and Financing,
Part 3 Investment Implementation,
Part 4 Investment Management
Demonstrate a great understanding of the Digital and ICT Investment Oversight Framework (IOF) and has experience working with DTA & BuyICT.
Demonstrate successful management of vendor relationships, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
Demonstrate negotiation skills and contract management.
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and analyse vendor performance.
Proven commitment to developing staff capability and proactively fostering a positive culture aligned to corporate values.
Being familiar with the Commonwealth resource management framework and how officials in the Commonwealth public sector use and manage public resources.
Being familiar with the ICT Investment Approval Process (IAPP).
Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
What you'll get in return
