$115,899 - $130,733 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Campbell Park - ACT The Role The EL 1 Assistant Director Quality Assurance will work within the Program Management Office (PMO) in the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide Implementation Taskforce (the Taskforce).
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading, managing and optimising quality assurance activities aimed at providing confidence to stakeholders that the RCDVS Implementation Program (the Program) is operating effectively in accordance with best practice and delivers products and/or services which meet specified quality standards and requirements.
You will lead a team and stakeholders by providing guidance and management of quality assurance processes and business planning to support delivery of reform initiatives.
You will be responsible for: Leading a team to deliver complex quality assurance work and related administration in support of reform initiatives and the Program; Providing regular briefs to the Senior Executive and Program Board on the outcome of various quality assurance activities; Leading the Benefits Realisation effort within the Program which includes ownership of the Benefits Realisation Plan, Benefit Profiles, Benefits Mapping and periodic Benefit Reviews; Contribute to the design of Benefits Profiles through development and maintenance of metrics to baseline and track the effectiveness of benefits across the program.
Identify opportunities for improvement across the program for Benefits measurement; Upskilling stakeholders in Benefits Management through training, information sessions and working groups; Serving as the Relationship Manager between internal/external auditors and the Department of Defence in support of auditing activities; and Collaborating with business areas and projects to ensure they meet quality assurance standards as set out by the Program.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

The Taskforce is responsible for providing governance, oversight and support for the implementation of Government agreed recommendations.
Quality Assurance Team is responsible for undertaking quality assurance frameworks and manages benefit realisation and business continuity to ensure the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide Implementation Taskforce remains fit for purpose and Defence has options beyond the delivery of the Royal Commission final report.
The position advertised will be in the PMO and will support the implementation of the recommendations and the Program via quality assurance activities.
