About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager who has worked in the public health space to fill a temporary vacancy with an immediate start date.
Desired Experience
Manage the delivery of a complex project and its activities to develop a scoping report on rapid data linkage of communicable disease data, providing administrative and professional support. This includes contributing to project monitoring reports, ensuring projects are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within the agreed scope.
Contribute to the mapping and documentation of options for linkage and drafting of the scoping report for a scalable solution to enable rapid data linkage of communicable disease data to be delivered to the CDC in late 2024.
Effectively liaise and negotiate with a range of stakeholders within and external to the AIHW in the communicable disease and data linkage sectors to understand their information needs and priorities.
Work collaboratively with the Unit Head and across the Group to draft, review, and provide advice on relevant reports, briefings agenda papers, business cases as required, and give presentations to varied audiences.
Essential Criteria
Highly developed strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking, including the ability to undertake complex planning research, analysis and data development.
Demonstrated ability to lead, work within, and contribute to a team, including managing strategic projects with considerable stakeholder engagement to completion within agreed timeframes and with high quality outcomes.
Excellent written, visualisation and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex information and analytical results to a range of audiences in a variety of formats.
Demonstrated ability to achieve results by cultivating productive working relationships and drawing on the expertise of others such as internal and external stakeholders to deliver on intended results.
Ability to communicate with influence both verbally and in writing with a range of internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts. This includes your ability to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
The ability to work independently.
Relevant qualifications or professional experience in communicable disease surveillance or public health will be highly regarded.
