El1 Program Manager

EL1 Program ManagerOur client is responsible for processing and evaluating new prescription medicines, new uses of medicines, and other variations to medicines ensuring the medicines are safe, efficacious, and become available to the customers in a timely manner. The Program Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Medicines Repurposing Program (MRP). They will support and mentor team members, including coaching and training to uplift capability and build knowledge.Specific duties include: Develop, coordinate and maintain detailed program plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocationsManage the program scope and monitor program progress against key activities, keeping it on track by proactively identifying, assessing, and resolving roadblocksReport on program status to the Minister, the Secretary and senior executivesPrepare and review a range of written work including briefs, policy papers, and communication materialTake responsibility for the achievements of individual and team outcomes, monitor progress and follow through to deliver quality outcomesLead and motivate the MRP team, working with the Medical Officers to manage tasks and ensure clear communication among all stakeholdersBuild and sustain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholdersFoster a positive and productive work environment for the program teamStart date: ASAPEnd date: 12 months from commencementPossibility of extension: YesHours: Full-time (37.5 Hours per Week)Location: Canberra – FairbairnEligibility Requirements: Australian Citizenship is essentialMandatory requirements:Ability to exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role using organisation and management skills to support the teamExcellent organisational and time management skills with proven experience in successfully managing projects or programs from start to finishEngage and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperationDevelop, manage, and maintain a range of stakeholder relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to write clearly and concisely about complex and sensitive matters for different audiencesAbility to prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, and adapt to changing prioritiesMake decisions based on professional judgement, evaluating risks and in the context of a complex and changing environment.Calleo is an equal opportunity employer and we encourage applications from all people including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.If you are interested in this role, please contact Kalpana on for more information.Alternatively, please send your resume to to be considered for this role.
