It's our mission to embed satellite imagery and data into decisions that support a sustainable Australian environment, a resilient society and a strong economy.The roleAs our Earth Observation Analysis Ready Data Product Manager, you will provide strategic leadership to advance data science and engineering practices within our section, focusing on Earth Observation (EO) data products. You will help to set the strategic direction, guide, and manage a specialised engineering team to develop and deliver high-quality, analysis-ready data solutions that meet both business objectives and customer needs.In this role you will:Develop and implement a clear product vision for Earth Observation Analysis Ready Data (ARD) products.Manage the product development lifecycle for ARD solutions, from conceptualization through to deployment.Prioritize product features and requirements based on user feedback, market trends, and strategic business needs.Collaborate with subject matter experts and the ARD Tech Lead to enhance and develop new ARD-related products and services.Ensure a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly experience for stakeholders utilizing ARD products.Oversee project timelines, performance metrics, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.Champion best practices in product management, foster a culture of excellence, and ensure compliance with governance and quality standards.To be successful in the role you will:The capacity to develop and implement a long-term vision and strategy for ARD products, aligning them with organizational goals and market trends while adapting to changing priorities.Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, researchers, and external partners.Precision in managing product requirements, quality assurance, and documentation to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable ARD products.Required skills, knowledge, experience and/or qualifications3+ years of product management experience, specifically data, digital, or scientific focused products.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.A degree in a science-related discipline or relevant experience with Earth observation data products is a distinct advantage.To ApplyPlease visit Job Details | APS Jobs to submit your application via our e-Recruit system.
