A new role awaits Looking for a challenging and rewarding career journey in the field of ICT? Scheme Digital Platforms Branch is currently seeking to fill an EL1 Procurement Specialist position, within the Chief Information Officer Division.
The Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) Branch shapes and delivers innovative, responsive, sustainable, and practicable solutions for National Disability Insurance Scheme to serve its stakeholders including participants, providers, staff, and partners.
The Scheme Digital Platforms Branch drives continual service delivery improvements to meet stakeholders' evolving needs with a strong focus on accessibility.
Our ideal candidate has extensive procurement experience within the ICT sector with analytical thinking and problem-solving being some of their key skills.
You will be organised, proactive, and able to exceed in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
You will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain networks and experience in developing high-level written reports and briefing materials.
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels to drive positive business outcomes is pivotal to be successful in this position.
You will have experience supervising and mentoring a team, providing direction, delegating responsibilities, managing performance, and supporting personal and professional development.

The key duties of the position include The EL1 Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading, planning and managing procurement activities as directed by the Program Director and Branch Manager.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to: Providing specialist procurement advice to define requirements, conduct planning, develop strategies, manage supplier negotiations, and ensure compliance with Australia's strategic policy, legislative framework, and government decision-making.
Leading, mentoring and guiding teams, fostering a collaborative and result-driven environment.
Reviewing requirements and business cases and determining appropriate procurement methods.
Driving procurement activities working with NDIA team and suppliers and ensuring NDIA procurement activities are compliant with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), and the NDIA Procurement Policy.
Ensuring procurement is driven in compliance with the prescribed policy and procedures and other established requirements.
Ensuring Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) and Office of the CIO (OCIO) corporate contracts are managed effectively and deliver value for money outcomes.
