Beyond its role in facilitating the transition to decimal currency, our client is also entrusted with preserving the National Coin Collection and commemorating significant Australian events through coinage. Our client offers a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute to Australia's numismatic legacy while fostering education and tourism in Canberra.   THE ROLE We are looking for an EL1 level, Procurement Expert to join our client's Project Management team . The team consists of 2 project managers and a procurement expert (this role). The Project Management team is to review existing projects, which are at varying project stages, to re-scope and develop steps required for project completion .Depending on the project, the Project Management team will either oversee its completion or transfer it to the agency's internal staff. Working as part of the Project Management team as the Procurement Expert, responsibilities may include: Review existing project documentation and develop new project procurement plans & timelines Coordinate stakeholder input at appropriate times throughout the procurement process Manage resources, i.e. goods, technology and services Forecasting costs & resources needed Negotiating contracts Manage contract performance Monitoring and reporting The contract, initially set until June 2025 , is subject to evaluation for an additional extension of up to 12 months . S26 Transfer is available. The team will work on a full-time basis as per the requirements of the Federal Agency and is based in Deakin, Canberra.   SELECTION CRITERIA This role will suit candidates with excellent interpersonal, analytical and negotiation abilities. To be considered eligible for this opportunity you are required to have: An active Baseline security clearance Minimum 3 years' experience in Commonwealth procurement activities Familiarity with the Commonwealth Procurement policies, regulations, and guidelines Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers and stakeholders at all levels   A PPLICATIONS For a confidential discussion about this role, please call Daniele on or Helen on .
