Randstad has partnered with a federal government agency for a EL1 Procurement Officer to join the team. This role is a 12 month contract and is located in Brisbane CBD. Your new role as EL1 Procurement Officer:The EL1 Procurement officer is a pivotal within the team, tasked with executing complex tasks under broad directives. It involves leadership, decision-making, and management of resources and personnel, with a focus on resolving challenges across procurement functions. The position requires independence for problem-solving and policy advice, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Key duties include:Consult and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify upcoming issues and provide necessary guidanceAct as a procurement partner, managing a team to develop documentation, assess tenders, and negotiate contractsLead early identification of procurement needs and support planning effortsEnsure compliance with legislative requirements and procurement policiesProvide guidance on compliance with relevant rules and guidelinesConduct regular reviews for continuous improvementManage corporate contracts for optimal outcomesAbout you:Must be an Australian CitizenExperience in procurement, particularly within a Government Agency or DepartmentThorough familiarity and comprehension of the Australian Government's procurement policy frameworkProficient in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Capable of prioritising tasks and effectively managing multiple deadlines concurrently.Benefits of choosing Randstad:We value our contractors.
