The team Information Technology Services provides a wide range of IT facilities and support services to ASIC. Digital Workplace Services (DWS) is part of the larger IT services team. We are embarking on major technology projects that will transform our business and continue our significant technology transformation in a number of areas such as virtualisation, mobility, and cloud.
The Role:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will work on:
Ensuring efficient and effective operation and administration of approved database management
Performing daily monitoring, platform health checks, and incident resolution
About You:
We are looking for someone with strong people & technology leadership skills and a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience operating and enhancing Network Services. You have a proven track record in the implementation and operation of:
Developing and maintaining standards, procedures, and programmes to ensure the integrity, security, and backup of approved ASIC databases
Monitoring the performance of the databases and taking appropriate action to optimise both database and application availability and response times
Assisting in installing, configuring, and testing infrastructure modifications
Development and management of system recovery plans and execution of disaster recovery exercises for server, storage, and backup platforms
Conforming to ITIL processes such as incident and change management
5+ years of experience in infrastructure solutions deployments including Windows, Active Directory, VMware, Storage, Server Hardware, and backup technologies
Experience managing with MS SQL Server and Always On failover clusters
Knowledge and experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure are desirable
