$115,899 - $130,733 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Weston Creek - ACT The Role As the Assistant Director JPME and Editor-in-Chief of The Forge within the JPME team, you will lead the team responsible for planning, executing and reporting of all activities related to The Forge – an educational social media site promoting informal JPME, currently with approx.
3500 readers per week.
You will be responsible for the growth, management and maintenance of the site, which includes: Sourcing and delivering high-quality educational resources from stakeholders (internal and external to Defence), to support informal learning aligned with the JPME Continuum via the Forge website; Ensuring all accountabilities and compliance responsibilities for the Forge are in order; Managing the external contract to preserve and extend the website, management of social media accounts, and compliance with the Privacy Act, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and Copyright requirements; and  Developing content strategies, analysing campaign performance for continuous improvement and maintaining the Forge's relationships with fellow publications (domestic and international).
About our Team The Directorate of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) is a small team located at the Australian Defence College (ADC) Weston Campus, ACT, which provides high-level analysis, continuum design, evaluation functions for JPME, and Joint Individual Training conducted across the ADF.
The directorate collaborates with partners in the ADF, academia, and international military institutions for the ongoing evolution of future focused JPME systems in order to contribute to an ADF intellectual edge.
The team is responsible for evaluation of the suite of joint courses delivered by ADC (to provide a holistic view of course value, usability and interpretability), custody of the JPME Continuum, and overall support for joint learning initiatives in the ADF, including The Forge (ADC's online informal JPME learning hub).
Our Ideal Candidate We are seeking a high-performing, innovative manager who will drive contributions, growth, reach, and professionalisation of the Forge.
The ideal candidate will have: Exceptional interpersonal skills and communicates (written and verbally) with influence; Proven ability to achieve results working with a diverse range of stakeholders and the ability to manage competing priorities accurately within allocated timeframes; Sound judgement and able to evaluate submissions to determine suitability in accordance with the approved editorial process; Proven ability to develop policies, procedures and performance support tools; Worked effectively with governance and compliance systems; Ability to work within ICT security, media and privacy principles; Experience in publishing with a blend of skills in artistic creativity, programming, project management, and media development (video and audio production).
Including management of social media accounts; Demonstrated ability as a graphic artist, creating graphics using the Adobe; Contract management experience; and An understanding of metric/analytics in relation to website management.
