Job description The OpportunityOn behalf of a large federal government agency, we are looking for an EL1 Fraud Investigator. The role will be a 12 month assignment based in Richmond, VIC and will pay a daily rate of $585 per day plus super.This is a leadership role within the investigations team focusing on the investigation of potential fraud, unauthorised access and misconduct. Overall, the team is focused on protecting the agency and strengthening the fraud controls.Responsibilities include;Leading a team responsible for delivering the fraud investigationsLead and manage complex and sensitiveinvestigations, leading to high quality of briefs of evidence, successful prosecution and hardened protectionCollaborate with the team to develop fraudcapability that reflects effective, innovative practice and contemporary strategyPromote awareness of the fraud response framework across the agencyReview and report on fraud investigations and monitor actions to address issuesProvide analysis of the findings and outcomes relating to the maturityof the fraud response capabilityProvide senior management reporting, budget reviews, issues and actions in relating to fraud investigationsDevelop strong working relationships with other government agencies and law enforcement entitiesTo be considered for this role you will demonstrate;Significant experience in leading fraud response and investigation activities involving members of vulnerable communities, preferably within a public sector environment.High level of competency in applying both traditional and contemporary fraud response and investigative techniques.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while maintaining high work standards.Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary team to succeed within a complex and rapidly changing environment with limited resources.Written and oral communication skills of a high standard, including experience in reporting to a Board and its committees regarding risk issuesTo ApplyAs this role is within the Federal Government, applicants are required to hold an Australian Citizenship at the time of application.If you would like to be considered for this role, please click APPLY NOW or call DFP Recruitment on 8632 9900 for a confidential discussion.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
