About Our Client Our client is a Federal Government agency. They deal with some of the most interesting parts of Government and have a huge impact on the day to day lives of everyone in Australia. The team you would manage is about 7 people, all who have great tenure and high levels of expertise. This is an excellent role for an EL1 who wants that next step to become an EL2, as the team and department will give you that leadership opportunity and challenge you in manner needed to increase your understanding of Government and leadership. Job Description The EL1 - Financial Accounting Manager will be responsible for Leading a high performance team Managing the key deliverables and ensure a positive culture remains Overseeing month end and end of financial year processes. Preparing briefs, reports and other correspondence Maintaining policies and procedures for all relevant subject matter driving and contributing to change management The Successful Applicant The EL1 - Financial Accounting Manager will have a real interest in Public Sector and Government. They will likely be already working as an EL1 in the Federal Government, or will have had recent experience of this. You must be an Australian Citizen to apply and anyone with a security clearance of NV1 would be preferred. You must be a fast learner and be ready to add real strategic leadership to the team and department. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport easily with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external. What's on Offer The role comes with a salary of circa $125,000 - $137,000, depending on experience and also has 15.4% super attached. #J-18808-Ljbffr
