EL1 Finance Business Partner - Non-Ongoing or Permanent (S26) Skip to content The Department:Cost recovery funded Federal Government Department.The Role:This is a newly created EL1 finance business partner role that will see you supporting a business line that is based in Sydney. The Finance team and this role are primarily based in Canberra. The expectation is that you will work from Canberra the majority of the time, but be available to travel to Sydney approximately once a month.The role is supporting a specialized business line and you will manage all aspects of their finance including:EOM and EOFY reportingVariance analysis and monthly management reporting packsWIP and other regular reporting and analysis on project financialsBudget management advice and scenario planning The role has multiple stakeholders which will see you quickly develop an internal brand within the CFO group and finance area. You'll directly engage with SES1 and 2s and will need to be confident in your ability to do this.The role is available via an S26 permanent transfer, or 12 months non-ongoing contract. They are looking for someone who can engage at a senior level with clients, and have the technical ability to confidently collate, analyse and deliver financials. There are no direct reports in this role and therefore no supervisory responsibilities. Your Skills and Experience:You are an experienced accountant with federal government accounting experience at the EL1 level or equivalent. Exposure to broad finance roles such as business partnering is highly regarded.
