El1 Executive Officer

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Executive Officer who will be responsible for the smooth running of the coordination and administration of Committee and Executive meetings.
They will lead the efficient workflows to and from the Executive and coordinate ministerial correspondence, media enquiries and support the Executive with a range of activities.
The role supports the Division's senior leadership team in progressing complex issues, reports and requests and ensures timely and robust advice and support is provided.
Other responsibilities include: Manage the flow of communications within the SES office, including monitoring all in-coming and out-going emails, briefs and correspondence, including follow-up action.
Support SES staff to ensure effective delivery, governance and leadership of the Division and/or Group's activities, including ensuring that SES staff remains informed and aware of strategic/operational issues requiring attention.
Coordination and quality assurance of corporate management activities including business planning, briefs and reports.
Develop budgets and manage finances, including evaluating resource performance and requirements within agreed budgetary parameters.
Prepare and coordinate a range of complex and/or sensitive correspondence, research papers, corporate documentation, submissions and briefs.
Represent SES staff on internal, external and cross-agency forums, conferences and seminars.
Manage effective and productive working relationships with internal staff at all levels, external Australian Public Service (APS) agencies and other key stakeholders.
Manage and monitor initiatives on behalf of SES staff, and undertake a range of project and event management functions.
The successful candidate will possess: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Superior organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise in an efficient and effective manner.
Experience with HP Content Manager records management, Microsoft Office suite, Share Point and the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
Candidates must hold a Baseline clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
