Our client is seeking to engage an EL1 Executive Assistant

Purpose of the role
The Executive Officer provides a range of high-level executive and project coordination services to the Chief People Officer and the broader sections of the People Branch, including managing communications, project management and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the agency's strategic and operational objectives during the delivery of an electoral event.
The role is responsible for undertaking very complex and/or sensitive work, under broad direction, utilizing expertise across a range of activities relating to the provision of strategic agency level advice and guidance to the Chief People Officer in the coordination of enabling services delivery.
Key position responsibilities Proactively manage workflow through the office of the Chief People Officer, including providing analysis, advice on context and coordinating any necessary follow up to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.Act as the primary point of contact for the office of the Chief People Officer, with the requirement to independently respond appropriately to a range of routine, sensitive or urgent agency matters with ease.Produce correspondence and communications materials on behalf of the Chief People Officer to support the promulgation of critical agency messages and priorities.Attend meetings with the Chief People Officer and/or other directors of the People Branch to assist with actions arising relating the enabling services delivery during preparation for any upcoming electoral events.Develop and actively manage key internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation. In addition to representing the branch in various forums.Provide high quality and timely advice internally and externally, including guidance and reporting to the leadership of the People Branch including Senior Executives in relation to functional responsibilities. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: MandatorySound knowledge and experience in successfully managing, coordinating and delivering results within time restraints and with competing priorities.Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate strategic outcomes and manage strategic stakeholder relationships on behalf of the Chief People Officer and People Branch, including across a geographically dispersed network and with critical external stakeholders.Proven strategic conceptual, advisory and analytical abilities with sound knowledge of change management practices and techniques to enable innovation.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff within People Branch while developing capabilities and embedding professionalism.Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including the planning of project timeline, establishing delivery milestones, setting and allocating key deliverable items and the overarching management of wide range of key stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.Demonstrated personal drive, integrity, trust and discretion whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.
