The Role
The Technical Logistics Management Functional Authority (TLM FA) is responsible for defining and continually improving the end-to-end process of Technical Logistics. The Functional Authority ensures the technical aspects of logistics are considered and the engineering inputs are sourced to enable logistics decisions, including technical assessing, technical substitutions, Life Cycle Modelling and the management of S1000D technical data. The Functional Authority is also responsible for the defining the professional development requirements of the Technical Logistics workforce. 

The EL 1 Technical Logistics Management Functional Authority is a critical SME position that is instrumental in the development and sustainment of Australian Defence policy and its migration towards the S Series of international IPS specifications. You will be required to support system development and sustainability by ensuring the required analysis has been performed.

The Materiel Logistics Function (MLF) branch of CASG delivers Logistics Support through each phase of the Capability Life Cycle to achieve the requirements of our Capability Managers. This branch scoped by Integrated Product Support (IPS) programs supports the planning, developing, acquisition, transitioning, sustainment and disposal of military equipment and supplies in a cost effective and affordable manner that is consistent with operational, regulatory, legislative and contractual requirements.
