SYNOPSIS:
About the Role
Treasury is seeking a highly skilled business analyst to join the Dynamics Systems Unit (DSU) in the Information Services Branch (ISB). DSU is made up of two IT project teams and a BAU support team, who partner with Treasury business to maintain and uplift new IT capability. The unit governs, provides operational support, and undertakes remediation activities to the Department's internal and client-facing case management systems. DSU work closely with other teams in ISB to compliment services provided to business.
As an Assistant Director in DSU, the role of business analyst is integral in identifying opportunities and improvements within IT projects and systems, working through identified problems and providing solutions that help achieve the business areas' goals. The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills, high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a small team with time critical tasks.
Your specific responsibilities include:
Being the liaison point between ICT staff and business areas to evaluate, analyse, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis.
Modelling business operations and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Gathering, validating and formalising business requirements including developing required documentation for solutions.
Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Working within existing Treasury ICT frameworks to deliver best practice solutions.
Supporting the Director of Dynamics Systems Unit in the delivery of high quality support services to business areas.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
Tertiary qualifications in ICT or related field or currently studying.
Qualification(s) in Business Analysis
