The Portfolio Management Branch (PMB) remit is to simplify, optimise, and standardise financial and strategic workforce requirements for a multi-billion dollar ICT portfolio within the Defence Digital Group (DDG). With a strategic role in DDG, the EL 1 Budgeting Manager will be regularly called on to provide our senior executive with insights across the Defence digital landscape.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Respond to executive requests for financial reporting and budget analysis.Develop high-value dashboards and written financial reporting.Provide advice and high-level budgeting support to large projects.Develop budget submissions, budget briefings, presentations, and other financial reporting.Lead and coach a small team of budget professionals.If you are interested in work that combines complex budget management and engaging, be involved in some exciting initiatives, and work with stakeholders in process improvement, then this Branch offers a high-profile career opportunity. Be comfortable working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities, including briefing senior leaders.Have extensive experience in budget management with large entities such as government agencies or large private organisations and understand project management.Demonstrate organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work.Well-developed stakeholder engagement and interpersonal and influencing skills with previous experience engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
