Join our clients team as an Assistant Director - Capital Works to lead high-impact infrastructure projects within diverse environments, including office spaces, laboratories, and quarantine facilities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee critical projects with a strong emphasis on compliance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project delivery.
Salary: $120,000 - $129,000 + super Job Type: Non-ongoing, 6-month contract (with potential for an additional 6-month extension) Location: Open to candidates in ACT, NSW, SA, VIC or QLD Clearance: Baseline Other: Open to S26 transfer Key Responsibilities: Manage and deliver capital works projects within budget and timelines.
Oversee project funding, financial tracking, and progress reporting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and mitigate risks.
Ensure security and compliance throughout each project phase.
Provide strategic guidance to senior executives and maintain governance standards.
Lead and develop team members, promoting skill growth and adaptability.
Requirements: Demonstrated experience in capital works project management.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Expertise in implementing protective security standards in project environments.
Ability to operate with independence, providing strategic direction.
Familiarity with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
Qualifications in project management, construction management, architecture, or engineering (desirable).
Knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework and Australian Building Codes (desirable).
