This is a 12-month contract and will be EL1 equivalent paying $602.55 per day plus super.
About the RoleThe EL1 Assistant Director Strategic Intelligence is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the department.
The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.
The EL1 Assistant Director Strategic Intelligence is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the department to advance the department's interests across a range of forums.
Responsibilities Include:Supporting the planning, production and delivery of strategic intelligence outputs and outcomes.Leading and coordinating strategic intelligence projects, producing a range of high quality strategic intelligence products informing and impacting decision-making for internal and external stakeholders.Working closely with the Fraud Fusion Taskforce to deliver whole of government insights and intelligence products.Liaising with other Agencies, sharing information and intelligence, producing briefing papers and reports.Supporting the response function of the team including, addressing requests for information, preparing responses for senior management and to ministerial requests, assessing incoming matters to determine the required treatment.Using analytical software such as Analysts Notebook and iBase for daily workload management and reporting purposes.About YouThe Assistant Director of Strategic Intelligence will bring to the role extensive experience in end to end security intelligence, experience working within legislative environments, strong accountability for their work and the work of their team and ongoing improvement of the culture across the Branch and advanced stakeholder management skills.
In order to be successful for this role, you will also demonstrate:
3-5 years leadership experience in Strategic IntelligenceProven ability to mentor and guide teams drawn from diverse backgrounds in a collaborative mannerExperience in a legislated and regulatory environmentStrong and adaptable communication skills with the ability to develop extensive relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersExperience within service delivery including the ability to influence and improve service delivery performanceUp to 2 days per week WFH available. This is a 12 month assignment with view to extension.
