The opportunity we have available The Data, Research, Strategy and Net Zero Division provides products and services to support the organisation to deliver policy, programs, services and regulation for infrastructure, transport, communications, the arts, our regions, our cities, and our territories.
The Data, Systems and Information Management Branch assists the department with embedding exemplary data and information management practices. This includes data governance and management, implementing projects under the National Freight Data Hub and providing geospatial and information management services.
The Records Integrity Program and Management team is dedicated to supporting the department's operational and strategic objectives by providing and administering records management systems, training, support, and guidance that enables compliant recordkeeping practices. The team supports staff to improve business efficiency through improved information sharing, reduced duplication, and enhanced ability to locate and retrieve information to enable better decision making. The team ensures the department has a secure, compliant, and maintainable record-keeping system and that staff adhere to the record-keeping compliance standards set by the National Archives of Australia (NAA) and the Archives Act 1983. The team is responsible for working with the IT Division to deliver a project to migrate records from legacy systems to the department's record-keeping system, Records Workspace.
The key duties of the position include:What will you do? Support the delivery of records and information management services in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.Work closely with delivery partners to progress key priorities, such as the records migration project, and provide regular and accurate updates to the director, SES, and departmental committees.Work closely with and support the other team leads in driving their workstreams, including with the Records Management Unit, and other key priorities and projects.Successfully manage key project deliverables, ensuring that milestones are met in accordance with the project plan and schedule.Support the provision of expert advice to staff in relation to the life cycle of information assets, recordkeeping best practice, and relevant legislative and administrative guidance.Drive continuous improvement, through periodic reviews of the team's service offerings and resources including policies and standard operating procedures, to ensure best practice advice.Collaborate with, negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders through effective communication, to achieve successful outcomes.Advocate for and support best practice records and information management.Who are we looking for? The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate their capability against the Executive Level 1 Work level standards.

Experience in project planning and leading projects or multi-faceted tasks will be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to improve on existing work processes will also be highly regarded.
