ASAP start 12-month role with potential for extension Section 26 Transfer Only $119,173 - $131,888 per annum, excluding 15.4% superannuation Located Australia-wide Job Reference #1260477 This position is only available as a Section 26 (S26) transfer About The JobTeam Leadership: Supervise a small team of procurement professionals, ensuring compliance and delivery of high-quality results.Procurement Guidance: Provide expert procurement guidance and advice on complex procurement, contract management, and probity matters in accordance with Government legislation and policy.Work Prioritisation: Track, prioritise, and allocate procurement reviews within the Corporate Procurement Team to ensure critical deadlines are met.Issue Management: Triage contract management and procurement matters that require escalation for legal advice and/or opinion.Policy Development: Manage the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies and processes in consultation with key stakeholders.Training & Development: Identify, develop, and manage procurement and contract management training for staff.Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain key relationships with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external entities to shape the overall delivery of services.Team Development: Motivate, guide, and develop staff, identifying opportunities to enhance team performance.Reporting Obligations: Manage mandatory federal government reporting obligations.The Successful CandidateCommonwealth Procurement Expertise: Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of the Commonwealth Government procurement framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, connected policies, and emerging Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) requirements.Corporate Procurement Experience: Proven experience in corporate procurement and/or end-to-end procurement, including reviewing and providing constructive advice on procurement plans, approval minutes, contracts, and evaluation reports.Priority Management: Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions, including work allocation and ensuring critical deadlines are met.Collaboration & Communication: Strong capability in engaging and working collaboratively with others, including the ability to communicate, influence, negotiate, and manage change.Results Orientation: Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for achieving individual and team outcomes, monitoring progress, and delivering quality results.Team Leadership: Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a team across multiple priorities to achieve desired results.Interested?
