EL1 Assistant Director, Premiums - Vacancy Details – Aurion Position : Organisation Unit : Location : Tenure : Closing : Synopsis : Overview of the Team and role The Premiums and Cost Recovery Team (PCR) sits within the Scheme Management group and is responsible to:
calculate and communicate annual workers' compensation premiums for employers.develop and deliver performance reporting and analysis for claims and liability outcomes. Comcare's current cost recovery process and associated activities.The Assistant Director, Premiums sits within premium and cost recovery team. The position is responsible for the annual production and communication of workers' compensation premiums and statistical case estimates consistent with Comcare's legislative requirements to set and collect premiums specific to each Australian Government agency to meet Comcare's claims liability and claims administration costs. 
This is undertaken with excellence in service provision ensuring the work supports Comcare achieve its strategic objective of a sustainable workers' compensation scheme through analysis of scheme and agency performance.
The position is also responsible for the maintenance and management of Comcare's Premium Allocation and Statistical Case Estimates Systems, developing and implementing improvements as necessary to ensure it is fit for purpose.
Mandatory Qualifications/Experience Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar role within an accident compensation scheme or insurer. Tertiary qualifications in quantitative field (e.g. actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, econometrics or finance). Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in programming in Government or insurance. Security Clearance Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
